Lexie Tytlandsvik, the little girl with the big voice, burst onto the Saskatchewan music scene in 2005. Opening for fellow musician and Saskatchewan success story, Brad Johner, Lexie officially debuted her talent on stage as part of Brad’s Saskatchewan Centennial Tour.
Lexie has thrilled and entertained listeners across this great province for the past 6 years:
· Performing alongside industry professionals such as Brad Johner, Codie Prevost, Chris Henderson and Blake Emmons.
· A proud member of the Saskatchewan Country Music Association and the Canadian Country Music Association, Lexie was included on the exclusive roster to perform in the Youth Showcase at the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards.
· As a headliner she has been invited back for repeat performances at both the Nickle Lake Country Jamboree and at the Canada Day Celebrations at Oungre Park.
· By special invitation, Lexie sang for local media superstation, Radio 1190 AM’s 50th Anniversary.
· Her voice, ringing to the top of the rafters, as her acapella version of “O’ Canada” brings crowds to their feet at local graduations and provincial junior hockey games (SJHL).
· July 2011 made top 16 in the YTV show "The Next Star"
· June 2011 placed first in the Estevan Idol Competition
· May 2011 placed third in the 620 CKRM Big Country Talent Show
· April 2011 placed first in the GX94 Junior Talent Search competition
· Competing for and winning a spot to grace the stage of “Telemiracle 2007”
Perhaps her most significant performance yet, Lexie is a four time finalist of the 620 CKRM Big Country Talent Search. Competing with talented participants, most of whom are significantly older with more experience, when Lexie takes the stage her extraordinary talent and spectacular stage presence has four times earned her the right to move beyond her competitors and sing, on the main stage, at this province’s biggest and best country event, Craven Country Jamboree.
Her performances have been noticed by some of the most important people in music today. In 2008, Lexie’s demo CD was aired on Country 100 FM in Moose Jaw. Lexie’s fan base continues to grow, with near sell out crowds at many performances.
In February, 2011 Lexie travelled to Nashville, Tennessee. While there she performed every night sometimes two to three shows a night at such venues as the Bluebird Café, the Nashville Palace and many more open mic venues. Meeting many industry professionals, making many new friends and business contacts, it was sure to be the first of many trips to come.
Already a seasoned professional and frequent guest at the most prestigious and exclusive venues in Saskatchewan, Lexie is poised to write her own success story. That is exactly what she is doing. In 2008, Lexie began composing and lyricsing her own songs. Poignant, articulate and talented beyond compare, the little girl with the big voice is going places, big places, in the country music industry.
